i have a 8mb connection and when i run a speed test at best i get 4 usually around 3.5 or 3.7 sometimes a little over just 1 over even below 1 i have only seen it go to 7.7 just 1 time and i just got done doing all the recommended tweaks for vista from this page and still the same results and yes i did reboot can someone make any suggestions?

Either the modem is being affected by electrical interference given out by some nearby device(s) or you have coiled up some signal or power cables.

Relocate the modem a few feet away from any other electrical device and uncoil all cables.
