I recently just moved into an apartment complex which has a wireless access point in the building. The isp is Frontier. It is an open source network with no password and no firewalls. I have connected with my laptop and it works fine. Here comes the problem... I have been trying to connect with my Ps3 to this network. I run the setup and it finds the ssid and has a decent strength. I go through all the steps and get to the test section. It finds an ip address and then goes to connect to the internet and always times out. I believe it times out because when you first open the browser on the laptop a frontier page pops up which wants you to check a box which says you agree to the terms of use. After you check the box you can click a connect button and off you go. No i cannot do this on the ps3 hence why it times out. I have tried opening the browser but it fails. I need an alternative... some sort of repeater? Or somehow create a pp0e with my laptop? I have drawn a blank and am tired of getting no where with sony and frontier. If anyone could help me i would be eternally grateful.
