im using a wireless router connected to my modem :P my wireless network card thing is 54mps one dunno if that might help you guys out either

i get around 250kbps as my download rate when trying to download sumthin......around 118kbps when my bros on his computer playing his game

could any1 help me out here pls.....^^ im greatful to all those who help

thats my test results ^^ if i could get around my 10mbps connection speed as my download speed say 6mbps THAT WOULD BE GREAT lol ^^

Have you tried TCP/IP Optimizer? http://www.speedguide.net/files/TCPOptimizer.exe

• Download and run TCP/IP Optimizer
• Under the main tab named “General Settings” move the “Connection Speed” slider to your current internet connection speed (see step 1).
• Under “Network Adapter selection” choose the adapter that you use to connect to the internet. If you have more than one selection and are unsure what to pick do the following
o Go to START -> “Run…”, type control netconnections and click OK
o Next in the top menu bar click View -> Details.
o Look at the column named “Status” and see which says connected then look at the Device Name column to see the related adapter. You may see a 1394 connection connected but ignore this.
• Next select “Optimal settings” at the bottom of the TCP/IP optimizer screen and click “Apply changes”, then reboot.

thats my report for it after doing what you said

im running vista home premium btw

the router modle is NETGEAR WGT624 108mbps DSL i think

modem is webstar i dont know the model number sorry

ran another test dunno whats going on but my DOWNLOAD SPEED DECREASED ALOT :( *sad face*

just found out that when i type ipconfig /all in cmd its says that NetBIO over Tcpip is enabled would this ajust any of my settings?

GRRRRR my connection is not 2mbps tho GRRRRR its 10mbps as advertised by vergin media who took over telewest :(
