Hey all, I'm new to these forums. Signed up just to ask this question actually.

I just got Verizon's wireless broadband service at home, since no other ISP would run a line out to us. So I've got the Verizon device (USB727) plugged into my USB port on my PC (running Vista), which is in turn wired to my Belkin N Wireless Router (model F5D8233-4v3).
I'm trying to set it up so I can share the internet connection with my laptop (running XP). I can connect to the internet on the PC using the USB device, and I can connect on the laptop when I have the USB device plugged into the laptop.
In all other respects, the computers are networking fine. The laptop has a built-in wireless device, and it wirelessly connects to my PC via the Belkin flawlessly. However, I can't get the internet to share. I've gone through the Windows helper thing that's supposed to show you how to share an internet connection, and nothing is working.
Both computers are set up for internet and file sharing. I can trade files and game over the network, but not the internet.
The Verizon internet connection was showing up as a separate network form my LAN, so I tried merging them, that didn't do it either.
The set-up programs for my router are no help, as they expect to have a modem plugged directly into the router.

I'm not extremely technical minded, and I've exhausted all my knowledge. Now I'm in over my head.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
