Static or Dynamic IP!!!

Hi,

I'm a technician on one of the internet cafe here in our area and I just want to know what's the advantage and disadvantage from static and dynamic IP given from your ISP (WAN)? :confused:

I know very well the differences between the two but what I want know if this affects the speed performance or reliability of the connection when it comes to playing in GG and server scout.

Static IPs usually come with Business Accounts..which are the higher level packages offered by most ISPs. Business grade accounts are usually offered in higher speeds, higher upload, and have a higher priority for repair if there is downtime.

So those are reason a business..such as an internet cafe..would want a static IP account...not so much because of the static IP, but because of the benefits of a business grade account.

Static IPs are desired by businesses....because it allows such services as a mail server in place (point the MX record), remote access services, VPN services, tying together wide area networks with router to router VPN tunnels, etc.
