2-wire 2700hg-d

this modem was issued by qwest. is there any way to make it compatible with bellsouth dsl? the installation cd i received from ma bell recognized the modem but did not connect. am i beating a dead horse or is this modem salvageable?

Skip the CD...log into the units web admin..and configure PPPoE there....

But ugh..those 2Wires...I can't throw them in the trash fast enough...get a good modem and router.
