Who has it? Just picked it up for 360, haven't had a chance to play. didn't really care for the other ones. But after reading the reviews decided i didn't want to miss this one. Said the game takes itself more seriously and plays like a great action movie. Not to mention you can actually aim now!!

Hope its fun.

I played Vice city for maybe a few hours then put it back in the box and that was that.. the game sucked.. the only fun i had was driving the cars around playing music.

I just started the game, then had to go to the store. Im about 20 minutes into it right now. Alot of talkign going on. Had me drive to 3 different places. The driving is a bit awkward right now, they said it will become 2nd nature. IM looking forward to seeing how the shooting will be, will either make or brake teh game for me.

also they still havn't 'fixed' the walking around, the character controls really weird to me.

Graphically its not great, but understandable because of the sheer amount of stuff. Good trade off i guess.

I haven't looked, but is GTAIV console only? Or is there a PC version?

Nothing announced, but don't be surprised to see it sometime down the road.

if the port the game over to the PC you will bet it will suck even more... FFOW was nothing more than a port from the console and it was so screwed up upon release that they have lost pretty much all their players and sales. They are banning anyone on their official forums if you say anything bad about the game.

I think every gta since 3 for the PC has been a port. They have done pretty well.

Game is already causing violence... and making news for it.

According to gamespot it seems that Grand Theft Auto IV went on sale in stores around the world at 12:01 a.m. yesterday, and already reports of criminal midnight launch madness are starting to filter in.

BBC News is reporting on a pair of incidents, with news of a stabbing outside a Gamestation in Croydon and a mugging by another game store in Lancashire.

According to the news service, a 23-year-old man was attacked by a knife-wielding assailant as he passed a line outside the Gamestation. The victim was treated for several stab wounds and has since been released. The attacker, who police said appeared to be waiting in the line of about 50 to 100 people, was not apprehended.

In the mugging, an 18-year-old was robbed of his copy of the game and beaten as he walked home from the store with a friend. The victim was taken to the hospital with a broken jaw and a broken nose. Police are asking for witnesses in both cases to step forward.

Up to 100 people witnessed the knife attack outside the Gamestation store in Croydon, ahead of Monday's midnight release of Grand Theft Auto IV. Police said the 23-year-old victim was walking past the queue when he was stabbed several times by a hooded man who appeared to be waiting in line. The victim was treated in hospital and has since been allowed home.

After the attack at about 2300 BST in George Street the victim did not call the emergency services but police were informed by a member of the public. He was found not far from the store and taken to hospital where he was treated for several stab wounds.

'Many' witnesses

Det Insp Liz Baker urged anyone who was in the queue to contact them. She said: "We are looking at CCTV from the area and believe there were in the region of 50 to 100 people in the queue.

"We are sure many of them will have seen what happened." The suspect is described as being a light skinned black man aged about 21, 6ft 5ins tall, of medium build wearing a light grey hooded top.

Grand Theft Auto IV went on sale at midnight at selected shops in the UK. It was expected to break records for the fastest-selling game of all time .

Are you really an ignorant person or do you just play one online?

Enjoying the game so far, however i dont' think its PEFECT like most reviews have been saying. There have been better games that havn't scored 10 and i don't believe this one deserved it.

There are some graphical glitches ive noticed so far, a few collision detections have been off as well. Controls are so so to say the best, better than the other games for sure. but far from silk like i would expect a 10/10 game to be. Frame rates have dropped on me a handfull of times.

Have yet to take it online, may try this weekend. I hear its fun online.

Over all MUCH better than the other GTA games (wasn't a fan after GTA3) but not a PERFECT game by any means. I would say 9.25 maybe a 9.5 out of 10.
