problem with modem

i got a motorolla sb5120 cable modem. my os is windows vista

when i turn off my pc the activity/pc light turns off. i would like to know if its possbile to change taht for when i turn of pc the activity/pc light stays on like it did with my older pc.

goto control panel network connections disable ipv6 ,and link layer stuff by unchecking the box
