XP and Flash.

I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out why I can't play flash files with Windows XP.
I've googled but to date, not found a solution.

Yes...I've installed the newest version a dozen times. lol

What browser are you using, and what if any addons/enhancements?

I use Firefox, Opera and Explorer.

I was just getting ready to fix that oversight.

It's Explorer version 7 that doesn't work. It did up to about a month ago.

Addons? Enhancements? None that I know of.

Well I don't have IE7 but if its only IE thats not playing flash look in tools, net options and check advanced or security settigns to see if theres something disabling flash or an active x component that may be needed.

Have you tied using the Adobe Flash Uninstaller (http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157) then try and reinstall? Also, any firewall that might have an ad blocking feature.

Wow...that worked! I guess the window uninsataller was leaving something behind!
