Problem with new Avira

They just updated there engine but now I cannot get the service to start. I'm running XPsp2. I keep getting the message that the service has not started. I've tried starting it in the "services" section but it just starts and stops? It say it requires other services but does not tell you which ones?

It worked perfectly before but this new version is giving me this problem.

Got it. They require the event log to be running now.

Great program isn't it Easto? It's hard to believe they offer the free version, it's extremely light and it's detection rate is superb.

I just found a strange problem with it. I did an update, Avira says it is up to date, with Today's Date. But on the Status Screen, instead of a green page with a check mark, I have a yellow page with an exclamation point for LAST UPDATE. I can't find out why this is. Any ideas?
