Anyone know why Roxio creator would eject a DVD when it tells me to insert a blank DVD? It does the "copying" part (I guess) and then wants the blank DVD.

It ejects the blank DVD.

Maybe it doesn't like that blank, is it a new brand or the same you always use?

From my personal experience anytime using roxio software I click burn and then start hoping and praying it works.

First time doing this. Co-worker has similar PC and it didn't work there either.

I believe the brand was TDK. I did notice one thing. The DVD that I want to copy is using ~7 GB the blank DVD's are 4.7 GB

Think that means something?

Try and tell that to the original person copying the DVD.

I'll seek out those two programs you mentioned. :)

Haven't used them in a while but they'll rip the dvd and compress it so it fits on a single sided dvd.

Roxio came preinstalled on the Dells.

I figured the user didn't know what they were doing. ;) But since I couldn't get it to work....

I believe dual layer DVDs can store up to 8.5 gig of DATA, if your burner supports it that may be the way to go.

I used both programs the Yardo suggested and it worked.

Spent about half the day trying to figure out why. :D
