Netgear wgr614 v6 wireless help!?

Hi, Recently ive been having a lot of problems with my wireless internet connection, i'm not great with computers but managed to set it up a while ago. Basically we have a pc downstairs with modem and wireless router, while upstairs i have my laptop and xbox 360 with wireless adapter for xbox live. The internet is working fine on the pc but on the laptop and xbox it is either very hard to pick up the connection or when it does its very slow or cuts off completely. Sometimes it connects then gradually slows down then disconnects. This has just suddenly started happening out of the blue as i had not changed any settings or messed with the connection. Going mad without xbox live. Any help would be much appreciated.

Update the router firmware on the computer check to see if there is any windows updates ,and install them expecially if it's drivers, or anything with wireless. networking. If not found on windows updates try that network card manufacture's site.

Try using manual ips on the computer http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=177
