Netgear Router problem, is this the solution ?

Hi

I have a netgear router and after about 20 mins the internet freezes and i have to reset it.

I have just connected RJ45 from the router to my pc and everything seems fine now.

i dont have a problem with going wireless as im in the same location so will the cable from the router to my pc help keep the speed up and the connection continous

If its the wireless side of things that locks up there are a few things to try. Change the wireless channel, if there is another router close by on the same channel it could cause interference. Cordless phones can do the same. Change the SSID from the default one, another router close by made by the same company could have the same default SSID and mess you up.
