i have a client who has an enormous house, with solid brick walls and concrete florrs who would like a strong wireless signal from his Linksys adsl modem / router all over the house...(i want a ferrari, but hey - i know how real life goes...)

I am looking into ways of improving his signal and seeing as he already has a linksys wireless router, a linksys wireless print server - this eems the ideal solution, but i have never used one before - have you ?

or have you any suggestions ?

I don't have much experience with WLAN's, but this would seem to be what you're looking for...

I have never used one.

But from what I understand you'd place it somewhere near the end of the range of the wlan router, and it will repeat the signal further down the house. If the concrete floors block the signal between floors, I'd try placing it near a staircase, for example. If you still can reception from the router there, you should be able to have a signal on another floor. But that's all theory, not experience.

Try using firmware from DD-WRT, it will give you an option to increase the wireless signal.
