Hi guys,
I recently purchased a WRT54GS and now I'm not able to connect to the office VPN. Before, I was directly connected to the modem, I had no problem. Can anyone help me identify which parameters to tweak?
Thanks.

Ensure that PPTP/L2P/IPSec VPN passthrough is enabled....may be a checkbox in your routers web admin.
Also ensure latest firmware on the router.

Yes. I double checked those and all are enabled. I re-connected directly to the modem and got it to work again. What else can I check? Do I have to open a port in "app & gaming"? I tried opening 1723 and 1701 but I think that's on the receiving end and anyway it didn't work.
I'm using the built-in Windows VPN client.

Yeah opening/forwarding port 1723 is only for if you run a VPN server behind the router..and wish to connect from across the internet.
Is the host VPN server also on a 192.168.1.xxx network?

Yes it is. It's RADIUS server running on 192.168.155.1. I really can't figure it out.
The connection stops at username/password verification. I can connect without my new router.

hmm...had read some issues people were having with the "gs" model. Perhaps a firmware glitch.

Ayayay...
I bought the Linksys because my old Zonet router can't share internet connection when my kids are playing Halo online. I just tried the old router for the VPN connection and it worked.
I guess I'll have to wait for the firmware upgrade. Thanks again.
