ok i did a clean install on one of my comp

all the other comp see it on the network but can't access it


that comp don't see anything on the network but the router .it can get online but can't see or share files


all comp are in the same network group.


any ideas.

Things that may help...
What operating system?
Any software firewalls being used?
Have you run the network setup wizard?

and if XP, are you using Simple File Sharing?

xp sp2 all

turned off all firewalls

run network setup kind of lol


ok i know bad thing to do but none of my comp have passwords on them its only me and my wife

we have 3 desktop and a laptop

comp names
main
main2
main3
laptop

we got main3 for xmas and all we did then was set up a user account in windows hooked it up to the router and added it to the workgroup everything was fine

she got a virus that i couldnt get rid of so i reinstalled xp


add the comp to the workgroup all the comp see it it dont see anything but the router

ran home networking setup on her comp that maid the other comp able to see it but it still dont see anything

took that bloted norton off and put on nod32 everythig fine againmust be something in that norton i had norton fw off but must be another setting also
