ok I have my ps3 and with its built in wireless it dosnt get a very good signal from my netgear 614. also we have a laptop the connects wirelessly the the router and it periodically drops the signal for no apparent reason. I have not gotten online with the ps3 yet, but have connected to the router with a very disappointing 25, the lowest-56%, the higest, signal strength. the router is upstairs by the computer and the ps3 and laptop are downstairs, there may be 10-20 feet of distance between them and 1 floor.
will I benefit from one of the N routers, such as the d link or belkins, even thought the PS3 is G?? what kind of speed should I expect from going this route?? this will be used primarily for gaming so speed AND reliability are important, no dropped signals, I need a dead reliable connection. I was also looking into the netgear or lynksys powerline adaptors also, would these be better fro my situation?? thanks.
