I'm looking for additional ways to reassure myself none of the computers on
my home network has become part of a botnet.
Is there a firewall appliance (i.e. self contained unit) or network monitor
appliance with built-in display that shows connection status like netstat,
outgoing pop3 mail headers (to detect spambot) plus any suspicious
activities? I really don't want to add another dedicated PC for this purpose
because of the space it takes up and the amount of maintenance (now I have
to run updates and worry about this PC being infected).
