good morning everyone,
we have 2 computers running a program called automotive expert. we use it for billing and estimates here at work.
right now we use the laptop to print and run everything, i want to be able to use my desktop also to print and do work with but i dont know how to set it up so my desktop works from the laptops folder for this 1 particular program. each ticket is issued an invoice number and i need to have both computers track the same numbers.

this is what i want it to do:
laptop prints 1 ticket #1345
desktop prints next ticket 1346
laptop prints 1347

this is what it does now:
laptop prints ticket number 1345
desktop prints ticket number 1100
laptop prints ticket 1346

i hope this makes sense. i need to be able to print copies from each computer, look up tickets numbers from each computer.
or if its better, can i run the program in the laptop from the desktop. right now everything is connected thru a wireless router. both computers share internet and a printer. best case would be that the desktop accesses the program on the laptop and runs it so our ticket numbers, customer info all is saved on the laptop. if this is even possible. or both computers save the same information.
thanks for any help or advice/pointers.
Sam
