Also , I tried to upgrade the firmware , but it comes with a .bin extension and I am not able to open it . I have a D-LINK WBR 1310 . What program do I need to use to open it?
click here to open your router control panel:
http://192.168.0.1
On the setup Internet page there is a radio button for
Connect mode setup: Always on | Manual | Connect on demand
Choose Always on and save settings.
You may not need to upgrade the firmware, but there will be a section in the control panel to do that too.

You should be able to load the bin right to the router via the web control panel.
But if its just a "loose" connection then tighten it :p
What version router is it?
According to your router user manual you DO have that option I mentioned.

hardware version : A1
firmware version :1.04
Firmware and user manual here:

What kind of Internet connection, cable or dsl? If DSL, then see the PPoE setup, there's an option for connect on demand or always on.
If cable, then your IP lease is for 24 hrs and the router is not picking up the new lease from the modem. That could explain "disconnect at same time every day".
Upgraded firmware may include a fix. Note: DO NOT BOT upgrade the firmware over a wifi connection, use a cat5 cable.

Tony , thanks for the replay .When I look under WAN I have the following:
Connection : DHCP Client Connected , then two radio button : DHCP Release and DHCP Renew . To be honest I messed around with those two before and everything went dead , because I don't know what I was doing .Thank God for system Restore .
When you release the ip, you have no ip address. When you renew, you get a new lease n the ip. Standard leases are for 24 hrs.

So , I don't do anything with those two buttons?

Release/renew are options for your routers WAN interface.....when you have your WAN interface set to "Obtain Automatically"..which is the common configuration for cable internet, those buttons tell the router to request an IP from your ISP.
It is completely irrelevant of System Restore...playing with those two buttons only has to do with connecting your router to your broadband modem, it has nothing to do with your operating system...System Restore is for operating system settings.
When you click on "release"..your routers WAN interface will let go of any IP address that it had...and sit with 0.0.0.0...meaning, no IP address. When you click on "renew"...the router will request a new IP address from your ISP, and if it gets one..in the status section you'll see it..something like 64.65.63.151.

It's called "Dynamic IP DHCP" on your particular router. Means the same thing.

Hi Guys,
still trying to trouble shoot . Ok , I have dynamic IP DHCP , at the same time I have a checked box for Enable DHCP Server , now on the side there is a note that reads "DHCP Server:
If you already have a DHCP server on your network or are using static IP addresses on all the devices on your network, uncheck Enable DHCP Server to disable this feature. Do I uncheck this box? Also the DHCP Lease Time is 180 minutes , do I change this figure? Thanks for the help . M

If you're running a DHCP service on your network already...such as...if you have a Windows Server that runs your network...you'd uncheck that. If you just have a single home computer...or several home computers...but no real "Server"...then you'd leave it enabled on the router. Default settings are fine.
The DHCP service on your LAN side is complete different and irrelevant of your WAN side settings.

YeOldeStonecat , (or anybody else, getting tired of this router config!)
at the moment , the DHCP Lease Time :180 minutes , should I change that figure ? I still have no connection the next day unless I unplug the router and then plug it back in . Thanks for the help.
