Laptop Help

This may be the wrong forum, but my laptop and desktop are connected thru a router. im trying to access some files on the laptop and 1 program but its asking me for a password and i dont know what the password is. i dont remember putting a password on it ever except the user windows login. i tried entering that but it doesnt work. anyone have any ideas? this is driving me crazy. i just need to be able to open 1 program on both computers. it prints invoices and i need to keep track of them. if i use both computers for it, i get 2 seperate customers but the same invoice number.

WIN XP is on the laptop and desktop both.

It could be that both comps may not be in same workgroup/subnet/etc. that is required in a LAN setup.

I suggest you repost a thread in the Networking section of our forum and members there can assist you best.
