It must be at least 5 or 6 years since I first saw "Draft-N" or "Pre-N"
devices. Is there any word when the Standard is likely to be finalized?

2009 is the current date - nothing more specific than that has come
out from the IEEE that I know of. Just keep in mind, even with Wi-Fi
Alliance certified products, there's no way to be sure any of the
current 802.11n devices will be compatible with the final standard.

The draft is expected to be finalized in November 2008 with publication
in July 2009
