dlink dir655 coming up as two connections

IM getting many problems with my d-link dir 655. one of them is that it comes up with two connection. One is what i have named it (D-Link DIR655) and the other as default. both those connections are the same router. why is this happening ?

Where is it coming up with those 2 names? Local Area Connections? Is one named "Gateway"? If so...that's normal, UPnP connection if you have XP or higher.
