I have a Westell 6100 DSL modem and a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. I'm trying to convert to a wireless system. I've configured the 6100 to Bridge mode and made all necessary changes. Changed the Linksys to PPPoE and all necessary configs. With modem in brided mode and linksys in PPPoE mode, I constantly get, " Cannot aquire IP address from server" I followed all proper procedures. What am I missing?

If you plug into the back of the linksys with ethernet cable instead of using wireless..what do you get?

I'm connected via lan cord, I just can't seem to aquire an IP address from the server. Will leaving the Linksys in DHCP mode help?

That's what I meant..if you can connect with ethernet cable and get on the net...you're good. If you get that error even when connected with ethernet..no good, something is wrong.
LAN side of the linksys should have its DHCP server enabled
Linksys connected to the Westell via Internet/WAN port on the Linksys..if the Linksys will do your PPPoE/NAT/obtain the public IP.

or you could goto this site and use 3rd party software for your wrt54G:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
works very well. I've installed it on 3 routers so far without issues and it makes it easier for wireless bridges.
