Hey Guys I tryed the HomePatch thing and then after i tryed to do a speedtest it was no changed but then the next day when i woke up i found a huge improvement for my upload its about 250 from 120 can u pleas tell me if its possible that i might get caught i use cabel rogers internet ples Respond back.

Ok let me tell u..
i have Rogers Internet and my download is 1000kbps and upload 128 that was the limit.
now after i tryed the Home Speed Patch the one i got off this Site and then i ran a speed test the download is about the same but the upload went to 250
so i was just wondering if i might get caught if they find out that im i have 250 upload while when i only spouse to have 128 will they sue me or anything like that pleas im worried i know its Stupid questions.
BTW i used the Home Speed Patch.

Really man that makes me Soo happy thnx alot dude but i still dont beleave my upload speed went up i dont like really but it DID :P
and BTW i know it was Stupid to did what i did was that i called up my ISP and asked them abut my Uplaod and Download Speed and they said
"Download 1000 kbps" "Upload 128"

Hey Bro Yardof Stuff U live in USA and im sure the law is a bit different u sure its not illlegal is this Site all good i mean no hacking and stuffs right is this site all legal as well.?

Philip(The great leader and creator/destroyer of all things SG) doesn't allow talk of illegal methods of modifying connections. Nothing on the SG site changes the modems config file or "uncaps" anything.
The settings changed by the TCP Optimizer and the @home speed patch and others change registry values on the PC.
All that does is optimize you PC for what the cable/DSL company is supplying to you.

One Question
How come My Upload Speed Increased alot but my download didnt im not whineing but im just curious y Only my Upload Increased when my Download is about 1200 :P

What is this Home Speed Patch and where did you get it? Sounds like you only downloaded spyware that is playing a trick on your tests.

No bro the i downloaded the home patch from this Site and its not playing tricks on me cause i can host a bigger Server now with out laag.
and the Home Speed Patch is on this Sit at the Broadband/Downloads/patches and ull find it there at the bottom of that page.

ohh well no it doesn't have any..but stuff off this site will only tweak your connection you won't see any major change like your talking about unless there was a problem with the TCP IP stack to begin with, example: after being hosed by a virus or spyware in general...or your ISP was having issues and you all of a sudden got it fixed when you applied these tweaks.

Well bro as my ISP said my download is 1000 kbps and 128 upload kbps that was my limit i have been having that sins 2 years now i have reinstalled my windows when ever i get virus or any other major stuffs ....but then first of all i tryed the tcp optimizer then i tryed the home patch it didnt take affect right away then the next day i woke up and ran a speed test and there u i had 250 upload i was surprised for my self
so thats y i posted here to ask if i did anythng Wrong that i would get in deep shi*

Check your ISP's website. They may have upgraded the line to 1000/256 kbps.

Nope Sorry they DiD'nt i just got that much upload by useing the home patch can any one elce try it and tell me if it works for them and run a speedtest before that.

Im Sorry I for Got to Tell U this before or maybe i did but before thaat Home Patch I even tryed that TCP Optimizer so i ran that and then it told me to restart pc and i did after i ran a speedtest it didnt take any affect on my upload or download then i tryed that home patch that didnt take affect right away so then i turned of my computer next day i woke up i runed my pc on and then ran a speed test and i had 250 upload
So i Do Not know which One of them Worked and Guys Should I save My Registery before i reinstall my Windows..?
