Scanner Problem

My Epson Perfection 1660 flatbed scanner stopped working while scanning to a photo to a file. The error message said something like "cannot access CMDILZAP.DLL. Can anyone tell me what could be wrong?

Sounds like the dll file in question is the problem, I would simply try to uninstall then reinstall it, make sure you have the latest drivers from the manufacturer.
