The settings I gave would be adequate for games.

Performance in games will also depend on the amount of RAM you have in your comp, the kind of graphic card you have and whether you have tweak your cache system for gaming.

i have 1gb of ram , ATI RADEON X1600 512mb , AMD Sempron 3000+ etc...


so maybe u can give me some link where they can explain me about FPS and Ping ... also if u have time and if u know how , that ll be great , i can send u money ;) !

Do a tracert to the URL of your game server and post.

Example:

To do a tracert, click 'Start' and then 'Run'. Type "cmd" into the box and click 'ok'.

A DOS black screen will appear. Type after the C:\>

tracert www.yahoo.com (here you use the URL of your game server)

and press enter key

When test is completed, move mouse cursor to the DOS black screen, click right and choose 'select all'.

Move mouse cursor to the Quick Reply box of this forum, click right and 'paste'.

Seems ping times at your modem in hop 1 vary widely.

First, clean and scan your comp with CCleaner, SpyBot and Ad-Aware 2007. Then reboot comp and check tracerts again.

i was scan PC with SPYBOT , SPY DOCTOR , AD-AWARE , NOD32 , but nothing there , also i called provider , they say everything is ok :S ! so ... :( ! i am suced :(

Turn off power to your modem and place it at a location a few feet away from ALL other electrical devices - under the comp table if that is the only place.

Make sure you do not coil up any signal or power cables.

The 2nd tracert has much better ping times at hop 1.

When electromagnetic interference from some nearby electrical device affects the modem, ping times can spike up and go down, like the North Lights.

Try gaming for a couple of hours and see if you still suffer lag.

ok now , also my modem is MOTOROLA SB5101E , i can connect my modem with standart cable for network and with USB , also i dont have modem in PC , i connect cable on motherbord i think .. couse there is entrance for that cable , and then i dont need drivers for ROOT couse motherbord drivers install that entrance , when i connect ROOT with USB then he need drivers , so what u think mate ? standard net cable or USB ? also my modem is now under PC desk nothing electrical here arround 70-80 cm !

Better to use the ethernet cable to connect the modem to the network adapter card of your computer. But for good security, getting a router between your comp and the Motorola is best. With a router in place, you do not need to use any software firewall.

hmm , i dont have that rooter , i only have that motorola modem connected with cable on PC , nothing bettwen that :S ! so then there is no help for me :( ! if u know someone who can resolve my problem i ll pay for that ... !

Connecting the motorola to the comp with a cable is correct.

Using a router is optional, for better security. You can go to the computer shop and I am sure the technical people there can explain to you how to install the router, or they may just charge you a small amount to install it for you.

Getting ping times at your modem in hop 1 to 6-7ms means your connection is now normal. No problem at your end. But your 2nd tracert to 72.36.228.90 will suffer high ping times because that game server is in the US, a long distance away. Try game servers within the EU.

any way thx mate , also maybe is about settings in Game .. rate , updaterate , etc... i posted txt on gamers forum on speedguid but look's like no one play CS there , with my connections 256/64 cable optimal rates are ... i dont know .. there is sites for q3 where u can type all availbe data and he tell u optimal settings for ur connections ! but i cant find it for CS :) !
