i changed the settings and rebooted but my speed still isnt quite where its suppose to be its now at this
http://www.speedtest.net/result/203443207.png (http://www.speedtest.net)
and it seems like my ping is now very variable, it jumps around more...may only be temporary though....seems to be stablizing a bit more now

High and irregular ping times at the modem in hop 2. Isolate your modem a few feet away from all other electrical devices, including the router.
Are you using a wireless connection?
Hirosaki

I isolated my modem and no im not using wireless, i also tried connecting directly to the modem and turning the router off completly but still no change, im going to call windstream and have them look at my phone lines, ive had a bit of trouble with them before and when they fixed everything worked fine so ill try that monday and see how that works, if things are still bad then ill contact you back here

How is your speed? Try testing at a few nearby test servers to get an average.

Clean and scan your comp with CCleaner, SpyBot and Ad-Aware 2007. Then reboot comp and test speed again.
