I have recently experienced a huge spike in my broadband usage according to my ISP Madasafish.

I have never exceeded the 5 GB limit on my account until July this year, when my usage was apparently 75 GB, followed by 347 GB in August and 65 GB in September.

I know for a fact that I haven't got to these levels through my internet usage as I barely use it at all, does anyone have any ideas how this could have happened?

I do not have wireless, and the only other person who has access to the computer is my boyfriend whose internet usage is about the same as mine (minimal).

We have a Mac not a PC so I don't think it can be a virus.

Even Mac can be a victim of Bots. Better find some appropriate software or websites to do a deep scan.

First, make sure your comps are not kept online 24/7. Two, change your internet log in passwords.
