Hi guys, noob here, hah. I have three PC's, Wireless Laptop and a D-Link Router with a Junction box. Which is to my understanding something to cancell out the hum in the phone line because the phones are analog and the computer runs digital... Anyways, my questions are. What kinda cable goes from the "J Box" to the router? What cables go from the router to the Pc's? Patch or crossover? Thanks

I'm not sure what this "junction box" is. With home broadband, it's usually either DSL (phone line), or Cable (coax). Those plug into the broadband modem that your ISP gives you. From the broadband modem, if it's cable..ethernet cable goes right into the WAN/Internet port of your router. If it's DSL, the "DSL modem" may already be a router..in which case you don't really want to add another router, you're all set. Or...if you want wireless, add an access point.

a junction box separates digital audio from analog audio in the phone line to seperate the computer signal from the phone signal. Anyways, the main question is, what kinda cable do i run from the Junction box to my wireless router. The J box has the DLS cable comming from the modem...so do i need a patch cable or crossover cable from the j box to my wireless router?
