Hi Guys,

I am kinda new to networking and have the following problem that i need help with. I have a server running ms Server 2003 which has 2 network cards (Wireless & ethernet). The main purpose of the server is to be a LAN Gaming server. I have a Netgear router (192.168.0.1), which is where everything connects to including other people on my network. In my room, i have the server and 2 laptops. I had this working fine previously by assigning 192.168.0.5 to the wireless server card to connect to my router and 192.168.1.5 as the ethernet server card. This provided the 2 laptops (connected to the server via a switch) both internet and local server access. The problem here was that when i started the dedcated game server it placed it on the 192.168.1.* range. This meant that the others in the house were unable to play on it. So the problem is, how can i put the server on the 192.168.0.* range but also give my laptops in my room internet access. I am unable to hardwire (via ethernet) my server as the router is on the ground floor and i am on the 1st.

I hope i am clear here. If not, please let me know and i will try to explain better. I have the following resources available to me

Wireless Router (Netgear WGR614 i think)
Wireless Access Point (Netgear WG602)
5 Port Fast Ethernet Switch
Cable Modem

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

Single wired NIC, ditch the wireless NIC, use your access point to allow wireless clients to connect.

Most game servers won't bind to multiple NICs.
