OK... I came upon this site after searching Yahoo for answers to my problem... apparently the solution to the probelm i saw was not applicable to mine....

I'm really new to this so if you need me to post some settings... please provide me some instruction on how to get the needed info.

Problem is:

After using TCP optimizer... my dsl freezes... disconnects after every few minutes... utorrent stops downloading... though it shows i'm still connected... after a few more minutes... my dsl just disconnects...

I'm supposedly on a 512KBps connection... i was trying to use tcp op for faster torrent downloading... now it's just more crappy. One guy who had the same problem here solved the problem by removing his 3rd party firewall programs... the thing is... i do not have 3rd party firewall installed!

Here are some of my settings

Connection: 512kBps Bayan DSL PPoe
Windows XP SP2 installed

PLease please please!!!!! i need help very badly!!!!

This report was made after running WinSockFix?

Try scanning with the following for spyware/malware that may be freezing your system:

SpyBot
Ad-Aware 2007
a-Squared Free

and clean up the registry with CCleaner.

Also try scanning with Ad-Aware 2007. It finds stuff that are missed by SpyBot.

Try the following with TCP Optimizer:

General Settings tab:
Custom settings - check
Modify All Network Adapters - check
network adapter selection - your NIC
MTU 1480
TTL - 64
TCP Receive Window - 63360
MTU Discovery - Yes
Black Hole Detect - No
Selective Acks - Yes
Max Duplicate ACKs - 2
TCP 1323 Options:
Windows Scaling - uncheck
Timestamps - uncheck

Advanced Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server - 10
Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 20
LocalPriority - 5
Host Priority - 6
DNSPriority - 7
NetbtPriority - 8
Lan Browsing speedup - optimized
QoS: NonBestEffortLimit - 0
ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting - 0
ToS: DefaultTOSValue - 0
MaxNegativeCacheTtl - 0
NetFailureCacheTime - 0
NegativeSOACache Time - 0
LAN Request Buffer Size - 32768
Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect
