WOW - No Halo 3 Thread?

Funny thing though. I was calling gamestop to find out about their preorder policy for another game. It came up saying "If you were one of the people who received a damaged halo 3 disc from microsoft please go to this site".

My cousin just me his disc from gamestop was damaged.

I got a package notice so I am going to pick mine up. It is from buy.com. Hopefully it isn't scratched up too.

The damaged disc issue is strictly with the Limited edition. The regular and Legendary versions have no such issue.

I'm astounded that, despite doing almost everything else right regarding the Halo launch, Microsoft seriously screwed up with the Limited edition packaging.

well, Foamy was playing along last night for about an hour, then it started freezing at the loading screen ... no red lights on the console or anything, it just seemed to be unresponsive.

I don't think it could be his xbox - this one's only about 6 months old.
I think it might have been Live being overloaded.

dunno - if it happens again tonite we're gonna try it in my xbox and see what happens ...

btw - when I popped the game out and checked it out, there were some scratches on the back (reg. ed.) ... I didn't think they were bad enough to make the game lock up, but you never know ...

yeah, my cousin said the tin case didn't hold the disc and it was flopping around in the case scratching it all up!

It is quite possibly the most poorly design case in the past few years, topping even Prey's Limited Edition (which had a similar disc scratching issue).

my xbox has been slow as hell ever since it updated when i put my halo3 disk in. Might be coincidence. WHo knows. The game is alot better than halo2, my wife and i are actually having fun with this one!

Frame rate SUCKS! anyone else having this issue? choppy as heck.

I played through the first part and so far it is really cool. Though at the same time it isn't as big a rush as when I got my origional xbox with halo 1.

Still, I bought halo 3 to play coop with my friends so I am looking for ward to that!

beat the game day of launch. short but i got it mainly for online. really like th enew needler, tobad we cant duel weild them anymore. also a fan of duel maulers :D me and about 6-9 other friends get together every wendsday and do 4 box system link. started that last month with halo 2 to prepare for halo 3. some of the maps are huge. really like forge mode. also the theater is cool. there is one dude i play with on wendsdays and we are pretty much even so i watch his games and study his tatics lol

i got it, is ok.. still getting used to fps on consoles (didn't play halo 1/2). i think i'll probably stick to coop/online play as single player games lose my attention REALLY quickly.

My wife and I just beat the game on Hardcore, going to start up legendary as soon as we beat two maps again (it didn't give us credit for two maps?!) thus no achievement for beating the game.

Online play is pretty good, maps seem fun so far.

try legendary alone, I didnt get too far, no idea how he made it.
I dont like the online play, its same old gay halo, jump and shoot, but I do love the co op, so much fun.
