+2dB to TVs/modem OR +.8dB to TVs and +6.5dB to modem?

Any thoughts on which is more beneficial?

Radio Shack +10dB Bidirectional Amp (1 in/1 out)

2-way splitter for -3.5dB (1 split straight to modem/1 split to 3-way splitter)

Modem gets ~+6.5dB

3-way splitter for TVs for -5.7dB

TVs get +.8dB

Radio Shack +8dB Bidirectional Amp (1 in/4 out)

Modem and TVs each get +2dB
