hi, i need a little help , my mtu right now is 536 i put it this way because i heard lowering mtu help online games such as runescape i wanted to know if i lower my mtu any lower will it help me more or will it make no difference?

When i lower the mtu my clicking at a minigame in runescape called castle wars increased i got the flag faster then most of the players but i want to get it the flag faster then any1 else. I was wondering if i lower my mtu to atleast 25 will it help out?

Lowering MTU means using smaller sized data packets.

The signals will be zippier along the signal route but your download speed will also reduced due to a higher percentage of overheads. There would be trade off point where MTU set too low will slow down your game. You have to experiment to find this point.

Broadband internet uses MTU at 1500, 1492 or 1480. Dial-up internet uses MTU at 576. You can find your trade off point somewhere between these two ends.
