Hey there... As you may have noticed, I am new to the forum, so don't go flamin' me yet! Have you put down your pitchforks already? Thanks...
Ok, in my area, and within a budget, I could only choose from dial-up connection (salowww) or this snazzy wireless service... I chose the wireless service, wich included a USB modem, 640 Kbps speed (I think, even though Windows says I have a 3.6 Mbps connection), 2 GB traffic included and a Happy Hour option (enabled)... So, I download some torrents and become surprised to see that it barely reaches 40 Kbps in uTorrent... Sometimes goes crazy and even reaches 100/150 Kbps, but this rarely happens... Regular Internet connection also wanders around 30/40 Kbps... My question: What am I doing wrong? Any tips in how to improve my connection? How to prevent it from breaking? New firmware to my modem?
By the way, I own a Huawei E220 USB Modem, like THIS:
