Since I set up a wireless network a week or two ago, my PC has started freezing up completely.
This only happens when using IE (6.0) and can happen at any time. It can happen 5 minutes after using the internet, or 5 hours later.
But, once it happens, I have to force the computer all the way down with the main power button. Ctrl+Alt+Del won't do a damn thing, nor will anything else. The cursor won't even move.
It's a 6 month old HP Pavilion, a1644x, XP Pro, V. 2002, SP 2, all updates (if Windows Live OneCare is actually doing its job, that's another mess in itself).
I would probably blame WLOC, but that software was installed months ago, and this just started happening after going wireless. Seems too coincidental.
I tried running sfc / scannow, but the window just flashes and disappears. Which is the current behavior of WLOC as well.
Also downloaded and ran Adaware, which found a lot of "undesirable" cookies and deleted them, but nothing major.
Anyone ever heard of this problem?
Thanks in advance.
