windows 2000 & IE 5.5

running windows 2000, i upgraded to IE 5.5 (mistake). at any rate, now i can't download files in IE. any ideas on how to fix this? thanks in advance.

Hey Guy, good to see ya still around!

Try going into internet options and then security sections and see if the box is checked for "allow file downloads". If thats not the problem then hang in there for a W2K expert, which ain't me! :D
I'm using IE5.5 SP1 and it's been working great for me. Just a thought! :p

yep yep, still here waiting on a job, hopefully ill be hearing something soon.

outstanding, the options got set to a custom level, i changed them back to default and everything seems to be working.
