make text talk???

anyone know of any software that can read text documents for me. what i mean is that the software will read (lets say a letter to a friend) as if someone is reading the letter out loud to you. thanks

There are plenty of products that do that. Try searching at http://www.google.com/ or http://www.yahoo.com/ for either "text to speech" or TTS.
