in win98se task scheduled there is a task called "tune up application start". what exactly does this do?

Its in win98 to it is suppose to be setup on the order of the scheluding agent. You can set it up for once a month to defrag your system, clean your junk files out of your computer. Plus take shortcuts off your windows menu, that don't work any more. But if you do this already by your self. Don't bother with it. I have never used it because I remove my temp files and all the other stuff myself. But when I read about this is how I understood it worked. Plus it puts your programs you use the most at the front of the drive. But if you use the defra on the menu it does the same thing.

"Tune Up Application Start" monitors which are the programs that you use the most, and then optimizes the system, so that itgives the mostly used programs the highest priority in the CPU cycle.
