Hi,

Im a broadband user from Asia , using a 512 kbps dsl connection. I play WoW-US and play with a consitently high latency of 450-550 on the Oceanic Servers (Located in the West coast of the United states i believe). Although my connection is extremely stable and this latency is totally playable, i am curious to know whether increasing my speed would affect it to a high extent and reduce it by about 150 atleast, since my ISP recently introduced 2mbps connections. I understand distance affects latency too , but from what ive read on various other forums is that an increase in speed can make a noticeable difference as well. I was hoping i could get some information on this issue on these forums as i heard its one of the best broadband forums. Hoping for a reply soon :), thanks

ASIANS normally get the highest pings to international websites, however increasing your connection does lower your ping by maybe 20-30ms max.

not worth it.
