Windows Media Rights Management?

i was watching an WMP7 update and saw it was the forst thing that was d/l'd. i understand the first two words, but how does it corrolate with "Rights Management"? i have some ideas, and being a conspiracy theorist i am wondering if its something i should remove.

the update/install wasn't on my system, BTW.

I can't play alot of media that was encoded via on my sys because of that stupid ass thing.. I get a rediredt to the media website and says that I have no rights playing the song on my OS.. WTF? I just use other programs instead.. f-micromonopoly
