picked up battlefield 1942 collection

bought it today battlefield 1942 complete collection also came with battlefield vietnam :cool: what mods should i get? anyone here still play?

BF42 was an amazing game when it came out, spent countless nights playing that. In my opinion they still haven't captured the feel of it with any of the newer ones.

I say just patch it up and have a blast. I think some people are still playing desert combat....not sure...

Yard said it best. DC mod is the best. I still play it. Just patch it up and get DC mod and bump this thread and we can hook up to play!


Make sure you get all the mods and updates in the right order.

Install BF1942
Patch to 1.6 then 1.61...reboot computer.
D/L and install DC.7 then DC Final
Update Punkbuster by placing a copy of pbweb.exe in your pb folder in the BF1942 directory. Run it.

BTW how do i set it to 1280x1024? in game i can only pick 1280960
