Hello all,
I live in Canada. I've had issues with my provider about a year ago, kept losing my Internet Cable connection, had to reset my modem several times a day. Everything had been done: they replaced the modem, even the whole wiring from the pole to my house. Finally, they decided to connect me to a different pole, and all was fine after. I was really happy, and was even able to get a couple of free months from them, since I had about 10 visits from technicians (having to stay home for the day everytime). At the end, as per them, my modem was losing its connection at about 300 times a day, no joke.
Since last week, the problem started again. A lot of people in my area moved, so they might have got new subscribers, and i fear that they might have switched me back to the closest pole to my house.
Now, to help me build my case, as I'm still losing the connection at least 20 times a day, I would like to install a software on my PC that would send a signal (ping) let's say every 5-10 seconds to check if my connection is working or not, and get a log out of it, so I would know lets say after 1 day how many times it didnt respond.
