problem installing Age of Empires 2

I use Win ME. As the files strart copying, and everything seems OK, suddenly uninstall is triggerd and the instalation is aborted.

It happens if I install it from CD or Hard disk!!!!

Moreover, niinstall is never triggered at the same time (percentage).

What to do to be able to play the game.

Yeah, it did it to me too. I don't think ME is very AOE2 compatable. When I went back to Win '98, AOE2 started working again. I couldn't find a patch for it either.

I guess it's just another Win ME bug.

ok, i have aoe 2 the conquerors expansion, but someone stole my age of kings disk, so now im stuck with this expansion disk, and seemingly no way to use it. is there anyway i can install this expansion without haveing to go out and buy the first dist again?
