Your present TCP settings should give you at least half your subscribed speed. Perhaps you have problem in signal quality.

Do a tracert to www.yahoo.com and post.

To do a tracert, click 'Start' and then 'Run'. Type "cmd" into the box and click 'ok'.

A DOS black screen will appear. Type after the C:\>

tracert www.yahoo.com

and press enter key

When test is completed, move mouse cursor to the DOS black screen, click right and choose 'select all'.

Move mouse cursor to the Quick Reply box of this forum, click right and 'paste'.

The IP addresses in hop 1 to 3 are private addresses.

What kind of signal devices (router, modem, etc) are you using and how are they connected?

and its connected through a Ethernet cord

Suggest you get your ISP tech to look into the setup of your modem and connection line. The IP addresses in the first 3 hops seem to imply you have 2 modems connected back to back.
