Batch mp3 converter

So i have about 5000+ files in wma,mp3

i want to convert the wma to mp3, and the mp3's to mp3. some are blade some are pro and its a pain delaing with this crap when converting for different uses. i want to put them all in the same exact mp3 format

so 2 things

1. App to do this?
i usually use dbpoweramp. but anything better for just selecting my mp3 folder

2. Has to be mp3. the most compatible mp3 (blade, pro, lame? whatever) so it can be easily converted to any format

Pro mp3 is a different format than mp3. As to lame or blade, choose lame. Both are still just mp3.

Realize that wma (excluding lossless wma), mp3 and even mp3pro are all lossy formats. If you redo a lossy file to another lossy format, you'll end up with a file that isn't as good as the first one you compressed.

As to converting, if it uses LAME, then that's about as good as it gets for mp3.
