Have you called your ISP to see if they have limited your speed by mistake?
Try the following with TCP Optimizer:
General Settings tab:
Custom settings - check
Modify All Network Adapters - check
network adapter selection - your NIC
MTU 1492
TTL - 64
TCP Receive Window - 127776
MTU Discovery - Yes
Black Hole Detect - No
Selective Acks - Yes
Max Duplicate ACKs - 2
TCP 1323 Options:
Windows Scaling - checked
Timestamps - uncheck
Advanced Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server - 10
Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 20
LocalPriority - 1
Host Priority - 1
DNSPriority - 1
NetbtPriority - 1
Lan Browsing speedup - optimized
QoS: NonBestEffortLimit - 0
ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting - 0
ToS: DefaultTOSValue - 80
MaxNegativeCacheTtl - 0
NetFailureCacheTime - 0
NegativeSOACache Time - 0
LAN Request Buffer Size - 32768
Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect
After reboot, test your speed at this link using the recommended test server:
http://www.speedtest.net/
Hi thanks for reply , I'm calling the isp tommorow to see if its their fault and I did as you said with tcp/ip optimizer but unfortionatly it did not make it any better. :( Is there Isps that limit your usage every month like only download 10 gb per month because that's what I did and then it just went slow.

Yes, if you have exceeded your usage limit, your speed may revert to dial-up speed. Better to get the unlimited plan if you are a heavy user.
Well , it came back now ! thanks for helping me , now that its back, is there any way to improve my speed even more ? =)

Post a new TCP Analyzer report to see if the custom settings have been entered correctly.
Also, do a tracert to www.yahoo.com and post. This is a check on signal quality.
This is the latest test

Tracert indicates a problem after your modem. It could be due to loose connection or wiring or a defective splitter.
So , what can I do about it ?
trogers
04-02-07, 06:36 AM
Ensure all connections are seated tightly and visually check the wiring for kinks or sharp bends which mean breakage of internal wiring. Open the wall socket to ensure all wiring are connected. After this, do another tracert to check ping times at hop 3 to see if there is improvement.
If no improvement, try getting a new splitter.
If a new splitter does not solve the problem, then you need to get your ISP tech to check the line from your modem to their central station (hop 3).
well , its not bothering me so what will improve by doing all this ?

If this problem in signal quality is solved, you will not experience packet losses, unstable speed and ping times.
