Vista does not require TCP/IP tweaks.

Log into your modem/router and set MTU (and MRU) to 1492. Then save and reboot the router/modem.

Do a tracert to www.yahoo.com and post.

I logged into my modem but not sure where do you change the
MTU and MRU (sorry im not that good at these things =X)
But for the tracert test

I am not sure myself as I have not encountered this Brand of modem/router. Also check to see if your modem is using the latest firmware. If not, update it either at your ISP website or Westall.

Your tracert shows irregular ping times at hop 2 which is your modem. Make sure your modem is placed a few feet away from any other electrical device to avoid electromagnetic interference. Power off the modem for a few minutes and reboot.

Its updated
I moved it away from other electrical device and closed the modem, waited
5min and started it up again.
I did a few tests at speedtest.net

The cause for slower speed is higher ping times at your modem in hop 2. They should be less than those in hop 3.

Replace your splitter and see if ping times and speed can be better.

Something electrical is probably affecting your modem, cause and effect.

If your observation has narrowed down a time period, it is easy to locate the cause. Turn electrical equipment on and off one at a time and check for spikes in ping times at hop 2.

I had come across an extreme case where a defective heat pump which is located in another room emitting interference that affected the connection line.
