A few pictures from my one week vacation to the Dominican Republic, in the beginning of March (Carabela Beach Resort in Punta Cana).

56k warning: they are in original resolution except the sunrise picture, which I rotated and cropped to get a levelled pic, the rest I did not modify at all - file sizes up to 2.8 MB.

The pictures were taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7. The "labels" are of course named after cocktails, in the spirit of an all-inclusive vacation. Normally I drink only very little and rarely. ;)

I went together with a good friend of mine. Yes, I did sleep alone :D

It was a very welcomed change from the end of winter over here, we left grey skies and 9 C to come back to sunny and 20 C weather. ;)

Yeah, life is very easy down there. I deliberately tried to take pictures of a little people as possible, as I like natural objects better than human or manmade objects. There were more people there than the pictures suggest, for example the sunrise & pool pics were shot early in the morning, when most people were still sleeping or having breakfast.

There were soom real babes down there as well, but most visitors were from Spain. And at least in my perception, Spanish women are usually not very attractive.

It's a beautiful country. But the government isn't that friendly and updated yet. You might do life in jail for something as dumb as smoking weed. They don't use computers to keep you booked, they use a pen and paper.. might get your names mixed up with a homicidle maniac LOL

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay though. Punta Cana is beautiful. :)

But the Dominican women are! Dude, I only go there for the women! LMFAO :rotfl:

Punta Cana get's packed.. you'll rarely see a Domincan there though. :D
